Alma and Armando’s love story is a tale of two peoples’ lives being intertwined, but only at the right moment. Alma and Armando both grew up in Modesto, CA. Coincidently, they both moved to a small town called Denair, CA, where they both attended the local school until graduating. Alma graduated in 2011 and Armando followed a year later, in 2012.

Although they were acquaintances in school, it wasnt until two years after graduation that they reconnected. Social media being huge, Alma and Armando would frequently post their thoughts on Twitter. One evening, Armando saw that Alma tweeted and he slid in her DM’s. They casually chatted and Armando invited Alma to a local coffee shop– she agreed and they planned their coffee date.

It was a drizzling March evening and Armando was leaning on the hood of his car, under a gleaming street light. Alma was parked right across the street of the coffee shop. She saw Armando waiting for her and began to feel a teeny nervous. She called one of her besties for a pep talk. Sweet Irene encouraged Alma to go on the coffee date to have a nice time and good conversation. Alma nodded in agreement, took a deep breath, and walked towards Armando outside the coffee shop. When they greeted each other, they both beamed with huge grins and walked towards the coffee shop, together.

Being a complete gentleman, Armando opened the door, paid for her chai latte, and pulled out the seat for her. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, and they found themselves laughing and having deep conversations— it was as if they knew each other their entire lives. They sat at the coffee shop for hours, until closing.

From that point on, they were completely inseparable and started dating on May 09, 2014. As the years went on, their love and bond grew stronger over each day. They enjoyed their 20’s together, not just as a couple, but as best friends.

On December 17, 2023, Armando bent down on one knee in the cliffs of Carmel, CA and asked for Alma’s hand in matrimony. Alma, without hesitation, said yes while tears of joy streamed down her face. All this while Alma’s best friend/sister/photographer was capturing every moment on her snazzy Canon camera.

Soon, as they stand hand in hand on their wedding day, surrounded by family and friends, Alma and Armando are filled with gratitude for the journey that brought them together. Their love story is a testament to the power of friendship, patience, and the beautiful unpredictability of life that brings two people together, forever.
